Background:Diflucan is a prescription drug and, for some patients, a problem they are not taking care of. In the last 5 years, we have been using it for the treatment of dermatological conditions.
Aim:To determine if diflucan is better to treat dermatology patients than those who do not use it.
Methods:We conducted a retrospective case control study of dermatology patients in a hospital setting. The study included patients who were treated for chronic dermatitis and those who were using diflucan.
Results:We found that dermatology patients who were prescribed diflucan, had lower concentrations of the drug, and had less efficacy in the treatment of dermatitis compared to those who were not using diflucan.
Conclusion:The use of diflucan in dermatology patients is superior to the use of oral fluconazole in dermatology patients. Diflucan may be considered for the treatment of dermatitis.
